This is not the gritty or ultra-realistic take on Little House on the Prairie that some viewers may be expecting. Instead, the show maintains a sense of warmth and fuzziness, with Laura and Mary's greatest joy still being peppermint sticks and the belief in the idyllic perfection of Christmas. Overall, I believe that 'Little House on the Prairie' is a must-watch for fans of historical drama and wholesome storytelling. It is a refreshing take on a beloved classic, and I am relieved that Netflix has already renewed it for a second season. Hopefully, people will embrace its admirable intent and not let small changes to the text deter them from enjoying this heartwarming series.
